CAN YOU HEAR THE BATTLE CRY?

Can you hear the battle cry,
Who is on the Savior’s side?
Help us lift the blood-stained banner high,
Can you hear the battle cry?

Oh, can you hear the battle cry,
Who is on the Savior’s side?
Help us lift the blood-stained banner high,
Can you hear the battle cry?

There’s a time to rest beside cool waters,
To watch and wait and plan,
There’s a time to rise up like an army,
Take our weapons in our hands;
The Lord victorious goes before us,
Do not be afraid!

Oh, can you hear the battle cry,
Who is on the Savior’s side?
Help us lift the blood-stained banner high,
Can you hear the battle cry?

Let us not grow weary as we carry,
The Gospel to the lost,
Let us lay our lives down in the service,
Of our Captain and His cross,
For evil rages, so hearts courageous,
We must soldier on.

Oh, can you hear the battle cry,
Who is on the Savior’s side?
Help us lift the blood-stained banner high,
Can you hear the battle cry?

He has sounded forth the trumpet and shall never call retreat,
He’s sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat;
Oh, be swift my soul to answer him, be jubilant my feet,
As truth goes marching on.

Oh, can you hear the battle cry,
Who is on the Savior’s side?
Help us lift the blood-stained banner high,
Can you hear the battle cry?

YOUR GREAT NAME

Michael Neale and Krissy Nordhoff

Lost are saved, find their way
At the sound of Your great name
All condemned feel no shame
At the sound of Your great name
Every fear has no place
At the sound of Your great name
The enemy, he has to leave
At the sound of Your great name

Jesus, worthy is the Lamb
That was slain for us,
Son of God and Man
You are high and lifted up
And all the world will praise Your great name

All the weak find their strength
At the sound of Your great name
Hungry souls receive grace
At the sound of Your great name
The fatherless, they find their rest
At the sound of Your great name
Sick are healed, and the dead are raised
At the sound of Your great name

Jesus, worthy is the Lamb
That was slain for us,
Son of God and Man
You are high and lifted up
And all the world will praise Your great name

Redeemer, my Healer, Lord Almighty
My Savior, Defender, You are my King

Jesus, worthy is the Lamb
That was slain for us,
Son of God and Man
You are high and lifted up
And all the world will praise Your great name

RIGHT ON TIME

Author Unknown

They sent for Jesus
Your friend's about to die,
But tarried He still on behind.
They laid Lazarus in the tomb,
And said their last goodbyes
Then coming down the road
Was Jesus right on time.

Just hold on my child because He's not too far away.
And He knows your needs before you pray.
So when your feet are weary
From the mountains you have climbed,
Look ahead, here comes Jesus right on time.

I've struggled through life's deserts
They were so hot and dry
'Til it seemed all hope was gone and I would die.
And I wondered where is He
Is He still a friend of mine
Then coming down the road
Was Jesus right on time.

Just hold on my child because He's not too far away.
And He knows your needs before you pray.
So when your feet are weary
From the mountains you have climbed,
Look ahead, here comes Jesus right on time.

WHEN THEY FOUND NOTHING

Melissa Bishop, James Isaac Elliott, Marty Funderburk, Beverly Lowry

They watched as soldiers nailed their Savior to a tree
They witnessed all the anguish, the agony
They waited for His Father to rescue Him, but then
He cried out, "It is finished." They knew it was the end

The stone that sealed the tomb had finally sealed their fate
For all their hopes now lay within that borrowed grave
Left with only questions, they pondered all he said
But answers didn’t matter, for now their Lord was dead
They began their final walk to say one last good-bye
But when they reached the tomb they could not believe their eyes.

When they found nothing, they found everything
In an empty tomb, they realized what Christ himself had prophesied
That death could never hold their king
For when they found nothing, they found everything

Hallelujah, He is risen
Hallelujah, Praise the Lamb
Who conquered death and hell, who died and rose again!

When they found nothing, they found everything
In an empty tomb they realized what Christ Himself had prophesied
That death could never hold their king
For when they found nothing
They found everything

BORROWED AND BARELY-USED TOMB

Joseph begged for the body of Jesus
After the soldiers were done.
He let Pilate know of a new grave he owned,
The last resting place for God's Son
Early that first Easter morning
In the rock where the grave had been hewn
God gave it back; there was just no more need
For a borrowed and barely-used tomb

It's cold, it's dark and it's empty,
This place where death lost its sting
It once belonged to a rich man
And was used for a while by a King
He was just changing clothes for a journey
Then He left that old ugly room
Death and the grave lost their victory
In a borrowed and barely-used tomb

Have you ever tried to imagine
The dawning on that first day
When God shook the earth, an angel came down,
And rolled the great stone away
He spoke to the woman that morning
Who'd come with her spice and perfume
Why seek ye the living among the dead
In this borrowed and barely-used tomb

It's cold, it's dark and it's empty,
This place where death lost its sting
It once belonged to a rich man
And was used for a while by a King
He was just changing clothes for a journey
Then He left that old ugly room
Death and the grave lost their victory
In a borrowed and barely-used tomb

SOMETHING'S HAPPENING

Kyla Rowland

Something's happening in Bethlehem
From a stable a lovely light glows within
Is that a baby crying? There's excitement in the wind
Something's happening in Bethlehem

-Recitation-
He was born in Bethlehem. Shepherds declared that angels announced His birth. Now that caused a stir. When men came asking, “Where is He that is born King of the Jews? We’ve seen his star and have come to worship Him,” Herod was filled with wrath. The babe, now a man, teaching a new doctrine with compassion and authority; the people are following him. The chief priests and elders are outraged. There’s a mob outside of Pilate’s hall today; something’s happening.

Something's happening in Pilate's hall
On the porch, Pilate pleads with an angry mob
In this man called Jesus, I can find no fault
Something's happening in Pilate's hall

-Recitation-
I watched as His beaten, disfigured body fall beneath the load of the cross. His mother ran to Him; the soldiers pushed her away. I heard the hammer fall and I knew the nails had been driven and He was on the cross. The scoffers kept chanting; I heard him speak words of forgiveness. There was a darkness over the earth and a great earthquake. Then I heard him cry from the cross “It is finished.” We watched Him die, but somewhere deep within my being I know this is not over.

Something's happening at Joseph's grave
Where Jesus of Nazareth has laid three days
Very early in the morning out of the earth he cast away
Something's happening at Joseph's grave

Come and feast your eyes on an empty tomb
Come and smell the fragrance where Sharon blooms
Then the Lamb resurrected will come into view
And something will happen deep inside of you

Something’s happening where Jesus lay,
Yeah, something happened on Judgment Day
Something’s happening at Joseph’s grave
Hallelujah, Hallelujah,
Something happened,
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

THIS OLD SINNER TESTIFIES

I've read about the mountains God removes for His children,
Of miracles His loving hands provide;
But what really got my hands upraised,
Made me have to shout His praise
Was the day I could say "He is mine!"

Well, He's a mountain mover,
He's a sea walker,
A lily in a desert dry
A rose in the wilderness,
Let me tell you who He is:
This old sinner testifies He is mine.

Struggling up that old mountain, half dead in the desert,
Angry waves almost covering my eyes;
But then I see the Lily, that sweet Rose comes to get me,
Pulls me up, and I'll shout "He is mine!"

Well, He's a mountain mover,
He's a sea walker,
A lily in a desert dry
A rose in the wilderness,
Let me tell you who He is:
This old sinner testifies He is mine.

ONE MILE WORLD

Lee Black and Ben Storie

It's easier to stare down at my feet
Avoid the hungry eyes of the beggar on the street
Keep walking past a single mom struggling to her car
With grocery bags and toddlers spilling from her arms.
Who's got the time?

'Cause I've got enough to do to keep me busy for a week
Without somebody else's problems piling up on me
Convenience and compassion never travel hand in hand
I hear a still small voice asking me where I stand

In a one-mile world
In a one-mile world
You can turn your head if you don't wanna see the hurt
So you don't ever have to go the second mile
In a one-mile world.

It must break the heart of God to see the mess we've made down here
How we war and wound each other as we leave this trail of tears
Would the world be any different if I did all I could do?
All these chances I've been missing should break my heart too

In a one-mile world
In a one-mile world
You can turn your head if you don't wanna see the hurt
So you don't ever have to go the second mile
In a one-mile world.

I've been lost, and I've been broken
In need of love myself
God knows where I would be
If someone hadn't given me some help

In a one-mile world
In a one-mile world
You can turn your head if you don't wanna see the hurt
Or you can roll your sleeves up and get down into the dirt
'Cause somebody needs a hand for a little while
A friend who's gonna go the second mile
In a one-mile world.

No One Ever Cared for Me Like Jesus

 Charles Frederick Weigle

I would love to tell you what I think of Jesus,
Since I found in Him a friend so strong and true;
I would tell you how He changed my life completely,
He did something that no other friend could do.

No one ever cared for me like Jesus,
There's no other friend so kind as He;
No one else could take the sin and darkness from me,
O how much He cared for me.

All my life was full of sin when Jesus found me,
All my heart was full of misery and woe;
Jesus placed His strong and loving arms about me,
And He led me in the way I ought to go.

No one ever cared for me like Jesus,
There's no other friend so kind as He;
No one else could take the sin and darkness from me,
O how much He cared for me.

Ev'ry day He comes to me with new assurance,
More and more I understand His words of love;
But I'll never know just why He came to save me,
Till some day I see His blessed face above.

No one ever cared for me like Jesus,
There's no other friend so kind as He;
No one else could take the sin and darkness from me,
O how much He cared for me.

THE ONE I'M DYING FOR

Outside I hear them talking
Could it be it's me they're mocking
An eye for an eye is all that matters anymore

Pilate put me in this prison
And I deserve what I've been given
A life for a life--that's the one I'm dying for

I caught the eye of a man who was beaten
I saw the truth, even I believed him
Now I can tell from my cell, who they're wantin' more

I hear them cry, "Release Barabbas!"
In disbelief, I turned to Jesus
He looked at me and He said go free, you're the one I'm dying for.

For the one who is hurting and the one who has done wrong
For the one who needs healing and feels like hope is gone
For the weary who can't carry his cross anymore
You're the one, You're the one I'm dying for

For the one with all the questions and the one who just believes
For the one who casts the first stone and the one down on her knees
For the weary who can't carry his cross anymore
You're the one, You're the one
You're the one, You're the one I'm dying for

GOD HANDLED IT ALL

Kyla Rowland

Sinful man in need of redemption
Hopeless, helpless sinner lost
But the Alpha and Omega
Brought the answer to the cross
And that's where one day I found Him
Sin no longer left a stain
To this day it is a holy, perfect plan

God handled it all (My God fixed it all)
His plan was grace (mercy, love and grace)
It is mine, hallelujah to His name (His lovely name)
When I saw the beginning (I was looking at him)
I saw end (I still see the Lamb)
God handled it all
It was and is a perfect plan (Holy perfect plan)

He saw me way back yonder in Eden
Knew I needed saving grace
But this heart that loves him dearly
That is what He sees today
Through the years I've found Him faithful
I'll keep trusting on and on
For I know He'll lead his children safely home

God handled it all (My God fixed it all)
His plan was grace (mercy, love and grace)
It is mine hallelujah to His name (His lovely name)
When I saw the beginning (I was looking at him)
I saw end (I still see the Lamb)
God handled it all
It was and is a perfect plan (Holy perfect plan)

THE ALTAR AND THE DOOR

John Mark Hall

Careless, I am reckless
I'm a wrong way traveling, slowly unraveling shell of a man
Burned out, I'm so numb now
That the fire's just an ember way down in the corner
Of my cold, cold heart

Lord, this time, I'll make it right
Here at the altar, I lay my life
Your kingdom come, but my will was done
My heart is broken as I cry

Like so many times before
I flood my eyes
I try before I leave the floor
Oh Lord, I try
But this time, Jesus how can I be sure?
I would not lose my follow through
Between the altar and the door

Here at the altar
Oh, my world so black and white
How could I ever falter
What you've shown me to be right?
Lord, this time
I'll make it right
Here at the altar, I lay my life
Your kingdom come, but my will was done
My heart is broken as I cry

Like so many times before
But my eyes are dry before I leave the floor
Oh Lord, I try
But this time, Jesus how can I be sure?
I would not lose my follow through
Between the altar and the door

I'm trying so hard
To stop trying so hard
Just let you be who you are
Lord, who You are in me

Jesus, I'm trying so hard
To stop trying so hard
Just let you be who you are
Lord, who You are in me

Oh Lord, I cry
Like so many times before
But my eyes are dry before I leave the floor
Oh Lord, I try
But this time, Jesus how can I be sure?

Blessed Be the Name of the Lord

As the sun rose that morning on the day of Job's trials,
He rose up to serve God as any other day;
Bound and determined to live in God's favor,
And nothing would stand in his way.

But then the messengers came one by one with their story,
In just a few moments Job lost all he had;
Great wealth and riches, the health of his body,
And even his children were dead.

The Lord giveth, he taketh away,
Blessed be the name of the Lord;
I served him before and I'll serve him today,
Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Then his wife came before him to voice her opinion,
She said, "You should end this, just curse God and die."
But Job rose from the ashes, he looked toward the heavens,
He brushed back the tears in his eyes.

And He said:

The Lord giveth, he taketh away,
Blessed be the name of the Lord;
I served him before and I'll serve him today,
Blessed be the name of the Lord.

When troubles come suddenly,
Blessed be the name!
When strong winds blow violently,
Blessed be the name!
When Satan comes oppressing me,
Blessed be the name!
I'll still serve God faithfully,
Blessed be the name!

The Lord he giveth, he taketh away,
Blessed be the name of the Lord;
I served him before and I'll serve him today,
Blessed be the name of the Lord.

DON'T BE AFRAID

Roger and Debbie Bennett

The disciples were tossed on a cold, raging sea
But Jesus was sleeping so peacefully
They cried, “Master, don’t you care that we die?”
But He spoke three small words, “Peace be still,”
It was the storm that had to die

So don’t be afraid when the darkness is closing
The Master is near; His voice calms every storm
So when the world says it’s over,
the Master says, “No, I’ve just begun”
In your darkest of times, whether rain or in sunshine,
Don’t be afraid

I know how it feels to be tossed by the storms
And I know how it feels to be battered and worn
But then I know how it feels to be carried on through
Called by the strength of the One who is faithful and true

So don’t be afraid when the darkness is closing
The Master is near; His voice calms every storm
So when the world says it’s over,
the Master says, “No, I’ve just begun”
In your darkest of times, whether rain or in sunshine,
Don’t be afraid

CONSIDER THE LILIES

Joel Hemphill

Consider the lilies, they don’t toil nor spin
And there’s not a king with more splendor than them.
Consider the sparrows, they don’t plant nor sow,
But they’re fed by the Master who watches them grow.

We have a Heavenly Father above
With eyes so full of mercy and a heart full of love.
He really cares when Your head is bowed low.
Consider the lilies and then you will know.

May I introduce you to this friend of mine,
Who hangs out the stars and tells the sun when to shine.
He kisses the flowers each morning with dew,
But He’s not too busy to care about you.

We have a Heavenly Father above
With eyes so full of mercy and a heart full of love.
He really cares when Your head is bowed low.
Consider the lilies and then you will know.

GOD HAS PROVIDED A LAMB

 John and Jason Johnson

Abraham faced a mountain with an uncertain task.
Isaac walked with him, for God had asked
That a sacrifice be made on an altar of stone.
Facing the mountain, Abraham journeyed on.

At the top of the mountain, an altar they made.
And after preparations, there Isaac was laid
When a voice from the heavens spoke to Abraham.
Touch not the lad, God has provided a ram.

He provided a ram whose blood cleansed and saves
He provided a ram, and atonement was paid.
His only son, Isaac, on the altar lay down.
God had provided a ram.

I once faced a mountain. Sin was its name.
With no way around it, years I struggled in vain.
Till I knelt at an altar. It was there that I found.
God has provided a Lamb.

He provided a Lamb whose blood cleansed and saves
He provided a Lamb, and atonement was paid.
His only son, Jesus, on the altar lay down.
God had provided a Lamb.

I stood in judgment in sin all alone.
Until the blood that flowed from Calvary
Made me spotless before the throne.

He provided a Lamb whose blood cleansed and saves
He provided a Lamb, and atonement was paid.
His only son Jesus on the altar lay down.
God had provided a Lamb.

I CAN PRAY

Nathan Markee

You say I’m not able
I’m too young or I’m too old
And I can’t sing or teach
And no title do I hold
Lord, what can I do
For I want to do my part
And I want to help the hurting
With all of my heart

I can pray until the walls come down
Until there’s healing all around
That’s something I can do
I can pray in my secret place
Calling on your name
That’s something I can do
I can pray

My family shows no interest
My child has gone so far
Though I try my best to reach them
Their hearts just seem so hard
Lord what can I do
To help bring them back to you
For my family’s lost and dying
And my words don’t get through

I can pray until the walls come down
Until there’s healing all around
That’s something I can do
I can pray in my secret place
Calling on your name
That’s something I can do
I can pray

You may not be a preacher
You may not be a Sunday school teacher
You may not be able to sing
But friend there’s something we all can do

You can pray
In your secret place
Calling on his name
That’s something you can do

You can pray, I can pray, we can pray
I can pray, you can pray
I know you hear us Lord when we pray
We will pray
I will pray
Will you pray?

WHO IS THIS KING?

Garry Jones & Niles Borop

A King who was a carpenter from Galilee
Royalty who lived among ones just like you and me
This Person and His message were simple, yet profound
Through faith we know His Father, through Him share common ground

Who is this King who sets the captive free?
Who is this King who makes the leper clean?
Who is this King who has the power to forgive the darkest sins?
Who died, yet lives again? Jesus is His name.

The world may try to steer us with their logic and debate
Telling us we dare not rest out future on our faith
But He's more than just a concept, and faith taught us to grasp
He becomes more than reality the moment that we ask

Who is this King who sets the captive free?
Who is this King who makes the leper clean?
Who is this King who has the power to forgive the darkest sins?
Who died, yet lives again? Jesus is His name.

Jesus is His name, He will never change
Forever He's the same, Almighty to proclaim!

He is this King who sets the captive free?
He is this King who makes the leper clean?
He is this King who has the power to forgive the darkest sins?
Who died, yet lives again? Jesus is His name.

EVEN IN THE VALLEY

Rebecca Peck & Amy Marie Unthank

High upon this mountain, the sun is shining bright
My heart is filled with gladness here above the cares of life
But I've just come through the valley of trouble, fear and pain
It was there I came to know my God enough to stand and say,

Even in the valley, God is good
Even in the valley, He is faithful and true
He carries his children through like He said He would
Even in the valley, God is good

The road of life has led you to a valley of defeat
You wonder if the Father has heard your desperate plea
But there is hope in the rugged place where tears of sorrow dwell
Can't you hear Him gently whispering "I am here, and all is well."

Even in the valley, God is good
Even in the valley, He is faithful and true
He carries his children through like He said He would
Even in the valley, God is good

THERE IS NOTHING GREATER THAN GRACE

Marshall Hall, Sam Mizell, Antonio Neal

What do you say to someone who feels like they've lost it all
Over the edge with no one there to break their fall
And what do you say to someone who feels so unloved
Giving themselves away a little bit everyday just to be good enough
And what do you say to a hopeless soul who can't remember their way home
And everything is out of their control

There is no valley, there is no darkness
There is no sorrow greater than the grace of Jesus.
There is no moment, there is no distance,
There is no heartbreak He can't see you through.
So before you think that you're too lost to save,
Remember there is nothing greater than grace.

What do you say to someone whose life is on the line
And their unsure what happens after their last breath in time
What do you say to someone who's only known abuse
When the walls they've built to save themselves makes it hard to hear the truth
And what do you say to a life of regret that's trying so hard to forget
What do you say to dreams unmet

There is no valley, there is no darkness
There is no sorrow greater than the grace of Jesus.
There is no moment, there is no distance,
There is no heartbreak He can't see you through.
So before you think that you're too lost to save,
Remember there is nothing greater than grace.

So don't lose hope; don't let go
Don't give up; you are not alone

There is no valley, there is no darkness
There is no sorrow greater than the grace of Jesus.
There is no moment, there is no distance,
There is no heartbreak He can't see you through.
So before you think that you're too lost to save,
Remember there is nothing greater than grace.
