FAITH IS THE VICTORY

John H. Yates

Encamped along the hills of light,
Ye Christian soldiers, rise.
And press the battle ere the night
Shall veil the glowing skies.
Against the foe in vales below
Let all our strength be hurled.
Faith is the victory, we know,
That overcomes the world.

Faith is the victory!
Faith is the victory!
O glorious victory,
That overcomes the world.

His banner over us is love,
Our sword the Word of God.
We tread the road the saints above
With shouts of triumph trod.
By faith, they like a whirlwind's breath,
Swept on o'er every field.
The faith by which they conquered death
Is still our shining shield.

Faith is the victory!
Faith is the victory!
O glorious victory,
That overcomes the world.

On every hand the foe we find
Drawn up in dread array.
Let tents of ease be left behind,
And onward to the fray.
Salvation's helmet on each head,
With truth all girt about,
The earth shall tremble 'neath our tread,
And echo with our shout.

Faith is the victory!
Faith is the victory!
O glorious victory,
That overcomes the world.

To him that overcomes the foe,
White raiment shall be giv'n.
Before the angels he shall know
His name confessed in Heav?n.
Then onward from the hill of light,
Our hearts with love aflame,
We'll vanquish all the hosts of night,
In Jesus' conqu'ring Name.

Faith is the victory!
Faith is the victory!
O glorious victory,
That overcomes the world.

THERE IS A GOD

Charles Christopher Dubois and Ashley Glenn Gorley

Try and put your arms around
The 100 year old tree
Climb up on a horse
And let it run full speed
Take a look down at the world from 30,000 feet
On your next flight

Watch a flock of birds
Against the morning sun
Close your eyes and listen
To the river run
Catch a firefly in your hand
Or a raindrop on your tongue
That's right

There is a God
There is a God
There is a God
How much proof do you need?

Plant a seed and see
What comes out of the ground
Find the heartbeat on your baby's ultrasound
In a few years hear it laughing,
And don't it sound like a song?

Stop and think about
What you don't understand
Things like life and love
And how the world began
Hear the doctor say he can't explain it,
But the cancer is gone

There is a God
There is a God
There is a God
How much proof do you need?

Science says it's all just circumstance
Like this whole world's just an accident
But if you want to shoot that theory down,
Look around

Just look around

There is a God
There is a God
There is a God,
How much proof do you need?

WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE

Jim Hill

There is coming a day when no heartaches shall come
No more clouds in the sky, no more tears to dim the eye
All is peace forever more, on that happy golden shore
What a day, glorious day that will be.

What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon his face
The One who saved me by his grace;
When He takes me by the hand,
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

There'll be no sorrow there, no more burdens to bear,
No more sickness, no more pain, no more parting over there,
But forever I will be with the one who died for me,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see
When I look upon his face,
The One who saved me by his grace,
When He takes me by the hand,
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

HE KEPT LOVING ME

Carroll McGruder

Tho' I was lost, with loving hands He reached for me,
So tenderly He sought to give me victory.
Yet, stubbornly I would not heed the Spirit's plea.
Still patiently, He kept loving me.

He kept right on loving when no love was returned.
He kept right on pleading when His voice I'd spurn.
And tho' I went my selfish way and failed Him miserably,
Still patiently He kept loving me.

Today, I know 'twas only grace that set me free.
God could have just as easily given up on me.
But persistently He dealt with me until I let Him in.
Oh, I thank God, He kept loving me.

He kept right on loving when no love was returned.
He kept right on pleading when His voice I'd spurn.
And tho' I went my selfish way and failed Him miserably,
Still patiently He kept loving me.

HE IS LOVED

Rodney Griffin

His heart was heavy in the garden
Praying all alone
His closest friends had forsaken Him again
Then as the soldiers came and got him
And pulled upon His robe
The sweetest smell reminded Him He had a friend

She'd made her way around the table
A few short days before
She'd poured the ointment out and spilled it on His clothes
She'd freely emptied out her bottle
As an offering to her Lord
So that even on the cross He would know

That He was loved, He was loved
He could tell by the fragrance on His robe
When all others had forsaken
A sweet aroma let Him know
He was loved, He was loved

When I live a life surrendered
To Christ my risen King
When I choose what's right, and I forsake what's wrong
It's an aroma to the Savior
Means more than anything
The greatest gift that I could bring before the throne

To tell Him He is loved, He is loved
He could tell by the fragrance on His robe
When all others had forsaken
A sweet aroma let Him know
He was loved, He was loved

I love you, Lord
And I lift my voice

When all others had forsaken
A sweet aroma lets You know
You are loved
I love you, Lord
Your are loved
Jesus, You are loved.

IT CAME TO PASS

Joyce McCollough

Sickness must be present for healing to take place.
Lives must be broken so they can be restored.
We must stop looking at our hard times
Like they were dead end roads
But avenues to prove He is Lord.

It didn't come to stay; it came to pass.
The Lord will move that mountain if you'll ask.
The trials that we see today won't last.
It didn't come to stay; it came to pass.

If I should live by sight I would be beaten down,
Because I can't see past these walls of circumstance.
But faith will be my substance and my hope is in the Lord,
And He will turn my sorrow into dance.

It didn't come to stay; it came to pass.
The Lord will move that mountain if you'll ask.
The trials that we see today won't last.
It didn't come to stay; it came to pass.

For weeping may endure for the night,
But I will find my joy tomorrow,

It didn't come to stay; it came to pass.
The Lord will move that mountain if you'll ask.
The trials that we see today won't last.
It didn't come to stay; it came to pass.

WHAT LIFE WOULD BE LIKE

Don Chaffer, Michael Weaver

I wish I was more of a man.
Have you ever felt that way?
And if I had to tell you the truth,
I'm afraid I'd have to say
That after all I've done and failed to do
I feel like less than I was meant to be.

And what if I could fix myself?
Maybe then I could get free.
I could try to be somebody else
Who's much better off than me.
But I need to remember this
That it's when I'm at my weakest I can clearly see

He made the lame walk and the dumb talk
And He opened blinded eyes to see
That the sun rises on His time,
Yet He knows our deepest, desperate need.
And the world waits while His heart aches,
To realize the dream.
I wonder what life would be like
If we let Jesus live through you and me....Yeah.

What if you could see yourself
Through another pair of eyes?
And what if you could hear the truth,
Instead of old familiar lies?
And what if you could feel inside
The power of the Hand that made the universe
You'd realize.....

He made the lame walk and the dumb talk
And He opened blinded eyes to see
That the sun rises on His time,
Yet He knows our deepest, desperate need.
And the world waits while His heart aches,
To realize the dream.
I wonder what life would be like
If we let Jesus live through you and me....Yeah.

All our hearts they burn within us.
All our lives we've longed for more.
So let us lay our lives before
The One who gave His life for us.

He made the lame walk and the dumb talk
And He opened blinded eyes to see
That the sun rises on His time,
Yet He knows our deepest, desperate need.
And the world waits while His heart aches,
To realize the dream.
I wonder what life would be like
If we let Jesus live through you and me....Yeah.

Let Him live through you and me...yeah.

BETTER HURRY UP

James Paris

Christ has gone a home to prepare
Up beyond the blue skies.
It must be so wondrously fair
Never seen by mortal eyes.
We know soon He's coming again
From His Heavenly throne.
We shall leave this earthly domain
When He comes to claim His own.

You better hurry up, Get ready to go.
You better hurry up, no time to be slow.
Oh, if you want to ride on the Gloryland cloud,
With the Savior and His chosen crowd;
You better hurry up, get ready to go!

Give your heart to Jesus today,
Oh why longer refuse?
Let Him wash your sins all away.
He's the only one to choose.
Do not wait until it's too late.
Let Him be your true Guide;
Enter in at mercy's bright gate,
It is standing open wide.

You better hurry up, Get ready to go.
You better hurry up, No time to be slow.
If you want to ride on the gloryland cloud,
With the Savior and His chosen crowd;
You better hurry up get ready to go!

THERE WILL BE A DAY

I try to hold on to this world
with everything I have
But I feel the weight of what it brings,
And the hurt that tries to grab
The many trials that seem to never end,
His word declares this truth:
That we will enter in this rest
With wonders anew
But I hold on to this hope
And the promise that He brings
That there will be a place with no more suffering

There will be a day with no more tears,
No more pain, and no more fears
There will be a day when the burdens of this place
Will be no more,
We'll see Jesus face to face
But until that day, we'll hold on to you always

I know the journey seems so long
You feel you’re walking on your own
But there has never been a step
Where you’ve walked out all alone
Troubled soul, don’t lose your heart
'Cause joy and peace he brings
And the beauty that’s in store
Outweighs the hurt of life’s sting
But I hold on to this hope
And the promise that He brings
That there will be a place with no more suffering

There will be a day with no more tears,
No more pain, and no more fears
There will be a day when the burdens of this place
Will be no more,
We'll see Jesus face to face
But until that day, we'll hold on to you always

I can’t wait until that day
Where the very one I’ve lived for always
Will wipe away the sorrow that I’ve faced
To touch the scars that rescued me
From a life of shame and misery
This is why, this is why I sing

There will be a day with no more tears,
No more pain, and no more fears
There will be a day when the burdens of this place
Will be no more,
We'll see Jesus face to face
But until that day, we'll hold on to you always
