IT'S TIME FOR LOVE

Dwight Liles

It's time for love, it's time for love
There's been too much hating, lying, betraying;
Don't you think we've had enough?
It's time to take the hand of a sister and brother,
Time to understand and help each other;
Don't waste time 'cause people, it's time for love.

Well, we take time for relaxing,
Even take time for TV,
And we take time out for coffee in the morning
Or an afternoon cup of tea.
But can we take time to meet our neighbor,
And lend him a helping hand?
If our schedule's too busy for loving one another,
Then I think we need a change of plan.

It's time for love, it's time for love
There's been too much hating, lying, betraying;
Don't you think we've had enough?
It's time to take the hand of a sister and brother,
Time to understand and help each other;
Don't waste time 'cause people, it's time for love.

Well, the clock hands keep on moving,
And the minutes pass us by:
And the days and years going faster, faster,
Don't it make you wonder why
We ever give a moment's thought to anger
Or spare the time to hold a grudge?
If we spend another minute not loving one another,
It'll be another minute too much.

It's time for love, it's time for love
There's been too much hating, lying, betraying;
Don't you think we've had enough?
It's time to take the hand of a sister and brother,
Time to understand and help each other;
Don't waste time 'cause people, it's time for love.

JESUS, MY WONDERFUL LORD

Bill Gaither

Jesus, my Saviour,
Jesus, my Saviour
Jesus, my Saviour,
Jesus, my wonderful Lord

He loved me when life seemed so hopeless
He loved me when nobody cared
He loved me when all friends had failed me
He loved me; He answered my prayer

Jesus, I love Thee
Jesus, I love Thee
Jesus, I love Thee
Jesus, my wonderful Lord

Someday my eyes will behold him
Oh, someday when life's work is done
Jesus will break through those eastern skies
To welcome his children back home

Jesus is coming
Jesus is coming
Jesus is coming
Jesus, my wonderful Lord

BLUE SKIES

Mark Bishop, Jeff Collins, David Johnson

Nothing but blue skies everywhere.
I've never seen anything to compare.
My, oh my, nothing but blue skies!

I see a river, crystal clear.
I can't believe I'm even standing here,
Can't believe my eyes...nothing but blue skies!

I hear the singing of an angel choir.
They're singing higher and higher and high...!
Seems to reach the sky...nothing but blue skies!

I've seen Matthew... hey, I met John.
So many more, oh, I've hardly begun.
How time flies... when you're looking at blue skies!

So many faces smiling back at me.
I look through the crowd... I'm trying to see..
Did you know her eyes remind me of blue skies?

Then I feel a touch like a summer breeze.
I turn around... all I can do is freeze...
When I realize I'm looking into her eyes.

No sense of lost time, just angels and sunshine...
And blue skies (everywhere) Nothing but blue skies

"I can't believe it.. it's really you... where are we.. is this...?"

"Welcome home!... oh, how I've missed you.
Since the day I had to leave you both, I've waited...
All those prayers... that God would send someone to help you find your way...
God answered my prayers on the morning our son was born."
You could never see it.

I hear a whisper... it moves through the crowd.
I see a light and then everyone bows.
Everyone bows...

All of my life... all those sad goodbyes...
All of the strife... right before my eyes...
It all melts away... it feels so far away...

I feel a hand wipe away my tears...
I rise to my feet and then everyone cheers!

Nothin' but, nothin' but nothin'...
Nothin' but, nothin' but nothin'...
Nothing but blue skies...
Nothing but blue skies...
Nothing but blue skies!

THE VOICE OF TRUTH

Mark Hall and Steven Curtis Chapman

Oh,what I would do to have
The kind of faith it takes
To climb out of this boat I'm in
Onto the crashing waves
To step out of my comfort zone
Into the realm of the unknown
Where Jesus is,
And He's holding out His hand

But the waves are calling out my name
And they laugh at me
Reminding me of all the times
I've tried before and failed
The waves they keep on telling me
Time and time again
"Boy, you'll never win,
You'll never win."

But the voice of truth tells me a different story
The voice of truth says, "Do not be afraid!"
And the voice of truth says, "This is for my glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

Oh, what I would do to have
The kind of strength it takes
To stand before a giant
With just a sling and a stone
Surrounded by the sound
Of a thousand warriors
Shaking in their armor
Wishing they'd have had the strength to stand

But the giant's calling out my name
And he laughs at me
Reminding me of all the times
I've tried before and failed
The giant keeps on telling me
Time and time again
"Boy, you'll never win,
You'll never win."

But the voice of truth tells me a different story
The voice of truth says "Do not be afraid!"
And the voice of truth says, "This is for my glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

But the stone was just the right size
To put the giant on the ground
And the waves they don't seem so high
From on top of them looking down
I will soar with the wings of eagles
When I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus
Singing over me

But the voice of truth tells me a different story
The voice of truth says, "Do not be afraid!"
And the voice of truth says, "This is for my glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

I TURN TO YOU

Chris Eaton and Todd Smith

When I'm far away from home
And the cold wind starts to blow
When I'm empty and alone
I turn to you

When there's hardness in my heart
And I can't see the truth
And I'm wandering in the dark
I turn to you

And here in your holy presence
It's all that I can do
I turn to you, Jesus
I turn to you, Lord
What else can I do, Jesus?
I turn to you

For the faith to move ahead
And to let go of the past
And to see me as you do
I turn to you

And here in your holy presence
It's all that I can do
I turn to you, Jesus
I turn to you, Lord
What else can I do, Jesus?
I turn to you

You alone are worthy
The one and only God
The Ruler of the Nations
Father of my heart

I turn to you, Jesus
I turn to you, Lord
What else can I do, Jesus?
I turn to you

MY REDEEMER IS FAITHFUL AND TRUE

Steven Curtis Chapman and James Isaac Elliott

As I look back on the road I've traveled,
I see so many times He carried me through;
And if there's one thing that I've learned in my life,
My Redeemer is faithful and true.
My Redeemer is faithful and true.

My Redeemer is faithful and true.
Everything He has said He will do,
And every morning His mercies are new.
My Redeemer is faithful and true.

My heart rejoices when I read the promise
'There is a place I am preparing for you.'
I know someday I'll see my Lord face to face,
'Cause my Redeemer is faithful and true.
My Redeemer is faithful and true.

My Redeemer is faithful and true.
Everything He has said He will do,
And every morning His mercies are new.
My Redeemer is faithful and true.

And in every situation
He has proved His love to me;
When I lack the understanding,
He gives more grace to me.

My Redeemer is faithful and true.
Everything He has said He will do,
And every morning His mercies are new.
My Redeemer is faithful and true.

POOR GOLIATH

Mark Bishop, Jeff Collins, and David Johnson

Little David was an upstart.
Everyone said he's too small.
He's too little to be much good.
But David's faith was ten feet tall.

David walked down in the valley.
In his sling he placed a stone.
When Goliath laughed at David,
David said "I'm not alone."

What could little David do?
Go ask Goliath, he'll tell you.
In a fair fight, it's not fair...
For the lion, for the bear.
(Little David... ) just a young boy.
Little David, not much at all.
(After he saw... ) God in glory,
Poor Goliath seemed so small.

Faith in God can part the waters.
Faith can guide the shepherd’s stone.
Faith can give sight to the blind man,
Or let the lame man walk back home.

What could little David do?
Go ask Goliath, he'll tell you.
In a fair fight, it's not fair...
For the lion, for the bear.
(Little David... ) just a young boy.
Little David, not much at all.
(After he saw... ) God in glory,
poor Goliath seemed so small.

Small, small chance...
That little David would survive.
But when the dust had cleared,
Only one walked out alive.

THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSING

Daniel W. Whittle

There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above.

Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need:
Mercy-drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.

There shall be showers of blessing,
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.

There shall be showers of blessing;
Send them upon us, O Lord;
Grant to us now a refreshing,
Come, and now honor Thy Word.

Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need:
Mercy-drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.

There shall be showers of blessing:
Oh, that today they might fall,
Now as to God we’re confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!

There shall be showers of blessing,
If we but trust and obey;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
If we let God have His way.

Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need:
Mercy-drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.

I KNOW I'M GOING THERE

Rodney Griffin

Jesus said to his disciples
I will go prepare a place
A land of many mansions
Where we'll spend eternal days
Then he ascended to the land
He promised to prepare
Well, I am so excited
'Cause I know I'm going there

Now you may want to call it heaven
Beautiful country of Canaan
Place where the saints will be livin'
Land so fair, land so fair
Sweet, sweet precious land of Beulah
Home of the holy hallelujah
I'm happy now that I can tell ya
I know I'm going there

I have made my reservation for that city long ago
There at an old time altar
Where the Savior saved my soul
If I should die tomorrow
Or meet him in the air
I know that I am ready
And I know I'm going there

Now you may want to call it heaven
Beautiful country of Canaan
Place where the saints will be livin'
Land so fair, land so fair
Sweet, sweet precious land of Beulah
Home of the holy hallelujah
I'm happy now that I can tell ya
I know I'm going there.

SUCH A TIME AS THIS

 Author Unknown

Why did I walk thru the valley?
Why was I forced to my knees?
Why did the sun parch and dry me
As I walked through the desert of defeat?
Then came the clouds, and the rain fell.
I thought I'd never make it through the night,
But God gave me the answer when I prayed with you;
He let me see the dark to hold the light.

And I can kneel with a brother who is bearing a burden.
And say I know just what you're going through.
I can pray with a sister in the midst of her sorrow,
And say I know because I've been there too.
I can put my arms around someone who is down,
And tell them to have faith and confidence.
What in pain I could not see, I now fully believe
God prepared me for such a time as this.

You may be praying for a rescue.
You are facing temptation throughout.
The struggles are endlessly present,
But the purpose is somewhere in God's time.
So just keep on walking the good road;
Night leads to a stronger, wiser day.
When you're asked the reason for the path you have trod,
You'll know without a doubt, and you can say,

I can kneel with a brother who is bearing a burden
And say I know just what you're going through
I can pray with a sister in the midst of her sorrow
And say I know because I've been there too
I can put my arms around someone who is down
And tell them to have faith and confidence
What in pain I could not see I now fully believe
God prepared me for such a time as this.

GOD AND GOD ALONE

Phill McHugh

God and God alone
Created all these things we call our own
From the mighty to the small
The glory in them all
Is God's and God's alone

God and God alone
Reveals the truth of all we call unknown
All the best and worst of man
Can't change the master plan
It's God's and God's alone

God and God alone
Is fit to take the universe's throne
Let everything that lives
Reserve its truest praise
For God and God alone

God and God alone
Will be the joy of our eternal home
He will be our one desire
Our hearts will never tire
Of God and God alone

ABOVE ALL

Paul Baloche and Lenny Leblanc

Above all powers
Above all kings
Above all nature
And all created things
Above all wisdom
And all the ways of man
You were here
Before the world began

Above all kingdoms
Above all thrones
Above all wonders
The world has ever known
Above all wealth
And treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure
What You're worth

Crucified
Laid behind a stone
You lived to die
Rejected and alone
Like a rose
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all
