LEARNING TO LEAN

John Stallings

I'm learning to lean, learning to lean,
Learning to lean on Jesus;
Finding more power than I'd ever dreamed;
I'm learning to lean on Jesus.

The joy I can't explain fills my soul,
Since the day I made Jesus my King;
His blessed Holy Spirit is leading my way,
He's teaching and I'm learning to lean.

I'm learning to lean, learning to lean,
Learning to lean on Jesus;
Finding more power than I'd ever dreamed;
I'm learning to lean on Jesus.

Sometimes we can be like the man who said,
My life is full now, I have everything;
But there is a strong Rock in Jesus, my Lord;
Thro' my trials I've been leaning to lean.

I'm learning to lean, learning to lean,
Learning to lean on Jesus;
Finding more power than I'd ever dreamed;
I'm learning to lean on Jesus.

Sad, broken-hearted, so often I've knelt,
And I've found God's peace so serene;
And all that He asks is a child-like trust,
And a heart that is learning to lean.

I'm learning to lean, learning to lean,
Learning to lean on Jesus;
Finding more power than I'd ever dreamed;
I'm learning to lean on Jesus.

There's glorious vict'ry each day now for me,
I found His peace so serene;
He helps me with each task if only I'll ask;
Ev'ry day now I'm learning to lean.

I'm learning to lean, learning to lean,
Learning to lean on Jesus;
Finding more power than I'd ever dreamed;
I'm learning to lean on Jesus.

LORD, DO IT AGAIN

Squire E. Parsons, Jr.

Oh, Lord of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
Friend of Moses and the great I AM
The One who shut the door for Noah
On the ark so the water wouldn’t come in
The One who delivered from Egypt’s bondage
And led His children to the promised land
Oh, Lord, Oh, Lord,
Oh Lord, do it again.

As the fire fell down
When old Elijah was calling
In the wilderness when the bread from heaven came falling
I’ve even heard about what You did for Jonah
When he didn’t go where he should have been
Oh, Lord, Oh, Lord,
Oh, Lord, do it again

Oh Lord, You are the same great Jehovah
Protecting, shielding, guiding light
The One who made the donkey preach
To the preacher man when he didn’t preach right
The One who commanded the sun to stand still
For brother Joshua and his faithful men
Oh, Lord, Oh, Lord,
Oh, Lord do it again.
As the fire fell down
When old Elijah was calling
In the wilderness when the bread from heaven came falling
I’ve even heard about what You did for Jonah
When he didn’t go where he should have been
Oh, Lord, Oh, Lord,
Oh, Lord, do it again

CASTLES IN THE SAND

Mosie Lister

Like a child by the seashore
Building castles in the sand
Foolish dreams I have dreamed day by day
Leaving God out completely
Till the day my castles grand
Fell apart in the tide and swept away

Castles built upon the sand
Though they seem to be so grand
Will surely melt away
For in life’s raging storm they cannot stand
In the Rock of the Ages
All my hopes are built today
And in the Rock, they will never pass away

In each life, storms will gather
Rains descend and wild winds blow
Wise the man who in God is anchored fast
Are you then like that wise man?
Are you anchored; do you know
You are safe till the storms of life are past?

 Castles built upon the sand
Though they seem to be so grand
Will surely melt away
For in life’s raging storm they cannot stand
In the Rock of the Ages
All my hopes are built today
And in the Rock they will never pass away

I CAN THINK OF ONE

Mark Bishop

Have you ever been lost as a ball in the tall weeds?
Ever had a time when everything went wrong?
Ever met a man who couldn't win for losing?
Well let me save you the trouble, I can think of one.

Where you gonna turn when your world stops turning?
Who you gonna call when you feel all alone?
Is there a place where you can take your troubles?
Who'll be your friend when the day is done?

"I can think of one!" said the blind beggar.
"I can think of one!" said the woman at the well.
If you don't know who made a lame man run,
I can think of one, I can think of one.

Who was the man who fed the four thousand
With a few little fish and seven loaves of bread?
Who was the man who died on the old cross
And just three days later He arose from the dead?

I can think of one, I can think of one.
Who came out shining brighter than the sun.
Who did the job that needed to be done?
I can think of one, I can think of one.

Who's gonna ride on a cloud in the morning
With an army of angels all of his own?
Who's gonna come and gather his children?
Who'll be the one who's taking me home?

I can think of one, I can think of one.
Who came out shining brighter than the sun.
Who did the job that needed to be done?
I can think of one, I can think of one.

BRETHREN, WE HAVE MET TO WORSHIP

George Atkins

Brethren, we have met to worship and adore the Lord our God;
Will you pray with all your power, while we try to preach the Word?
All is vain unless the Spirit of the Holy One comes down;
Brethren, pray, and holy manna will be showered all around.

Brethren, see poor sinners round you slumbering on the brink of woe;
Death is coming, hell is moving, can you bear to let them go?
See our fathers and our mothers, and our children sinking down;
Brethren, pray and holy manna will be showered all around.

Let us love our God supremely, let us love each other, too;
Let us love and pray for sinners, till our God makes all things new.
Then He’ll call us home to Heaven, at His table we’ll sit down;
Christ will gird Himself and serve us with sweet manna all around.

I WON'T HAVE TO WORRY

James Goss and Jimmy Jones

Down here the burdens are heavy,
And the road is rough and long,
Sometimes my feet grow weary and so slow.
There's a brighter day a coming,
Soon I'll step on heaven's shore,
And I won't have to worry anymore.

No I won't have to worry when I reach the other shore.
All my troubles will be over and I'll rest forevermore.
My eyes will be on Jesus, and my heart will be aglow,
And I won't have to worry anymore.

Someday when life is over
And I've said my last goodbyes,
I'll see the Savior standing at the door.
I'll hear him say, "You're welcome.
All your cares you've left behind.
Now you won't have to worry anymore."

No I won't have to worry when I reach the other shore.
All my troubles will be over and I'll rest forevermore.
My eyes will be on Jesus, and my heart will be aglow,
And I won't have to worry anymore.

YOU'RE STILL GOD

Sandy Blythe

I thought that it would happen
To anyone but me
I never dreamed that I would carry
This heavy burden on my knees
I never thought that I'd be standing
Just where I stand today
I've never known this kind of heartbreak
I've never felt this kind of pain

But You're still God
When my eyes have cried a million tears
You're still God
When my last hope has disappeared
You're still God
And I know You'll make a way somehow
You're still God
And You're holding me right now

My heart can't find the answer

For the reason for this trial
And, Lord, I know Your ways are perfect
And You've been watching all the while
For to me You've proven faithful
Time and time again
And I'm learning, Lord, to trust You
Even when I don't understand

'Cause You're still God
When my eyes have cried a million tears
You're still God
When my last hope has disappeared
You're still God
And I know You'll make a way somehow
You're still God
And You're holding me right now

SING ME A SONG ABOUT JESUS

G. T. Speer

Sing me a song about Jesus
Sing me a song about His love
Sing with all your might every day and night
Make the hallelujahs roll
Sing out the blessed old story
Tell how He gave the victory
Dying on a tree all for you and me
How He came and made me whole

Sing me a song about Jesus
Sing me a song about His love
Sing with all your might every day and night
If the way is bright or dim
Sing me a song about Jesus
Sing me a song about His love
Sing about His grace Till You see His face
Sing me a song about Him

Jesus the wonderful Savior
Guides me along the rugged way
Never lets me fall, Hears my feeble call
Makes the way so bright for me
I will forever adore Him
I will forever sing His praise
He will take me home, never more to roam
Then His loving face I'll see

Sing me a song about Jesus
Sing me a song about His love
Sing with all your might every day and night
If the way is bright or dim
Sing me a song about Jesus
Sing me a song about His love
Sing about His grace Till You see His face
Sing me a song about Him

FEELING AT HOME

 Bill and Gloria Gaither

Feeling at home in the presence of Jesus
Hearing Him call me His own
Feeling at home
Feeling at home
Putting my feet right under His table
Knowing I won't be alone
Just feeling at home
Feeling at home

You couldn't have told me I'd find what I found
Contentment and peace from above
Feeling at home in the presence of Jesus
Laying way back in His love
Warming myself by the fires of His spirit
Standing right next to the throne
Just feeling at home
Feeling at home

Feeling at home in the presence of Jesus
Feeling happy and free
Feeling at home
Feeling at home
Feeling accepted. loved and forgiven
A part of His great family
Just feeling at home
Just feeling at home

You couldn't have told me I'd find what I found
Contentment and peace from above
Feeling at home in the presence of Jesus
Laying way back in His love
Warming myself by the fires of His spirit
Standing right next to the throne
Just feeling at home
Feeling at home

IT'S MY LIFE

Marty Funderburk and Gina Boe

God has called me to go and take the good news to the lost
God has called me to sing, so no matter what the cost
I will follow as He leads, for He promised as I go
He will draw the world to Him as I make His message known

It's not my job; it's my life
I don't sing for earthly gain; I do it all for Christ
To be a witness and a warrior and a living sacrifice
It's not my job; it's my life

Sometimes the road is long, and sometimes the way is rough
Sometimes I lie awake and wonder if I've done enough
But then I rise to thank my God that He has trusted me
To once again lift high the cross so that everyone can see

It's not my job; it's my life
I don't sing for earthly gain; I do it all for Christ
To be a witness and a warrior and a living sacrifice
It's not my job; it's my life

And no matter where you work or what you do from day to day
Every child of God is called to witness on the way

It's not my job; it's my life
I don't sing for earthly gain; I do it all for Christ
To be a witness and a warrior and a living sacrifice
It's not my job; it's my life

HE KNOWS JUST WHAT I NEED

 Author Unknown

My Jesus knows when I am lonely
He knows each pain; He sees each tear
He understands each lonely heartache
He understands and always cares.

My Jesus knows just what I need
O yes, He knows just what I need
He satisfies and ev’ry need supplies
Yes, He knows just what I need.

My Jesus knows when I am burdened
He knows how much my heart can bear
He lifts me up when I am sinking
He brings me joy beyond compare.

When other friends seem to forget me
When skies are dark, when hope seems gone
By faith I feel His arms about me,
And hear Him say, “You’re not alone.”

My Jesus knows just what I need
O yes, He knows just what I need
He satisfies and ev’ry need supplies
Yes, He knows just what I need.

IT'S NOT IN VAIN

Mike Speck, Niles Borop, & Dwight Liles

We have labored in the vineyard of the Lord
And it seems the world has stolen our reward
But God has not forgotten, and when He calls us home
We'll receive eternal treasures
And a place of honor near His throne

It's not in vain
It's not in vain
We serve a risen Savior
Jesus rules and reigns
The heavens cheer us on
We do not walk alone
Our labor, our witness, our faith
Is not in vain

God has seen our faithful service through the years
All the heartaches, all the burdens, all the tears
But do not be discouraged, there's a purpose, there's a plan
There's a reason for each season
So trust the leading of His hand

It's not in vain
It's not in vain
We serve a risen Savior
Jesus rules and reigns
The heavens cheer us on
We do not walk alone
Our labor, our witness, our faith
Is not in vain

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BEAR YOUR BURDENS ALONE

Gerald Crabb

You've done well at hiding the pain in your life
You've hidden the sorrow that haunts you each night
But if there is something that you need to share
I want you to know someone cares

You don't have to bear your burdens alone
You've got a friend; you're not on your own
Just take my hand, and we'll find help at the throne
You don't have to bear your burdens alone

At times life seems unfair and so hard to stand
You reach out for someone just to hold to your hand
Just remember the words of our Savior are true
His promise: "I will never leave you"

You don't have to bear your burdens alone
You've got a friend; you're not on your own
Just take my hand, and we'll find help at the throne
You don't have to bear your burdens alone

THE CARPENTER'S HOUSE

Author Unknown

He never built a house
On this earth to call home
A place where He could rest His head
A place to call His own
Yet with two strong hands
He built a lasting church
And today the world's most famous Carpenter
Is still at work

He's gone to prepare
A place for me now
Built by the blood
And sweat of His brow
Created by love
Standing on holy ground
Where we shall live forever
In the Carpenter's house

People came to know His name
The works His hands performed
Not as a simple Carpenter
But through lives He transformed
There are no stately mansions
No monuments or shrines
The stairway to Heaven
Is what He left behind

He's gone to prepare
A place for me now
Built by the blood
And sweat of His brow
Created by love
Standing on holy ground
Where we shall live forever
In the Carpenter's house
