THANK HIM FOR THE MIRACLE

Mosie Lister

Once because of my own thinking
I was lost and I was sinking, oh so low
Living down in the darkness of my mind
Where the righteous do not go
Till the day I fully realized that God could deliver me and more
Raise me up to higher heights and give me joy
I’d never had before

And I thank Him for the miracle
That brought me from the wrong to the right
The miracle that saved me that brought me
From the darkness to the light
And I thank Him for the never-ending song
Of joy I sing
And I thank Him for the miracle that made me
A child of the King

In the darkness of my soul
I felt a longing just to trust in His embrace
And I said, “Lord, can I love You, can I hope to ever look upon Your face”
Then I took Him at His Word
That said believe in ME and you will never fall
Believe in ME and you will be
As if you’d never strayed away at all

And I thank Him for the miracle
That brought me from the wrong to the right
The miracle that saved me that brought me
From the darkness to the light
And I thank Him for the never-ending song
Of joy I sing
And I thank Him for the miracle that made me
A child of the King

WON'T IT BE WONDERFUL THERE

Chris Allman

When I think of Heaven and all that's to come
I can't help but long for that day
When Jesus is given the word to return
And takes us with Him there to stay

What a joy it will be when we meet over yonder
Loved ones who've gone on before will be there
Joint heirs with Christ, we shall live there forever
Never a heartache nor a burden to bear
There'll be no sorrow, no sadness or fear
Won't it be wonderful there
Won't it be wonderful there

John wrote about all the beauty we'll see
When we reach that glorious place
But what will make Heaven so precious to me
Is when I see my sweet Savior's face

What a joy it will be when we meet over yonder
Loved ones who've gone on before will be there
Joint heirs with Christ, we shall live there forever
Never a heartache nor a burden to bear
There'll be no sorrow, no sadness or fear
Won't it be wonderful there
Won't it be wonderful there

WITHOUT A VALLEY

Rodney Griffin

I've been walking through a valley
It was dark, and it was drear

Yet in the middle of my sorrow
I heard Jesus say, "Child, I'm still here"

But without a valley
How would I ever know
That His strong and gentle hand

Would never let me go
How would I know for sure
That I'm secure and safe wherever I go
Without a valley
How would I know

So I thank you, Lord, for each trial
How You're teaching me Your perfect love
For You have shown that I can still have joy inside
Even though the road seems long and rough

But without a valley
How would I ever know
That His strong and gentle hand

Would never let me go
How would I know for sure
That I'm secure and safe wherever I go
Without a valley
How would I know

GOD'S GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR ME

Rodney Griffin
God’s grace is sufficient for me, for me
God’s grace is sufficient for me
When it seems all hope is gone, He is high upon His throne
Working out the plan He started in me
Even when the way is dark, and I can’t see very far
He the Bright and Shining Light will be
I will worship and proclaim and give glory to His name
For His grace is sufficient for me

God’s grace was sufficient for Elijah
As He was standing there upon the mount
All the prophets of Baal, they began to scream and yell
But their god didn’t even make a sound
Then Elijah prayed through, just to see what God would do
And the fire of the Lord did fall
It consumed the sacrifice with a single flash of light
And Jehovah God was worshiped by all

God’s grace is sufficient for me, for me
God’s grace is sufficient for me
When it seems all hope is gone, He is high upon His throne
Working out the plan He started in me
Even when the way is dark, and I can’t see very far
He the Bright and Shining Light will be
I will worship and proclaim and give glory to His name
For His grace is sufficient for me

God’s grace was sufficient for ol’ Jonah
As he was sittin’ in the belly of the whale
Ol’ Jonah should have died, but the Lord kept him alive
So that he would have a story he could tell
Well, then Jonah prayed through just to see what God would do
And the fish came a swimmin’ to the shore
Well, he spit ol’ Jonah out, and when Jonah hit the ground
He was preaching like he’d never before

God’s grace is sufficient for me, for me
God’s grace is sufficient for me
When it seems all hope is gone, He is high upon His throne
Working out the plan He started in me
Even when the way is dark, and I can’t see very far
He the Bright and Shining Light will be
I will worship and proclaim and give glory to His name
For His grace is sufficient for me

THE SHEPHERD'S POINT OF VIEW

Sandy Blythe

You are standing on the mountain
Holding to the Shepherd's hand,
The valley you just came through
Was hard to understand.
Then the Shepherd draws you closer,
There's something He wants you to see,
And He points back to the valley
And unfolds its mysteries.

As the eagles soar around you
And you look back on where you've been,
One by one He answers questions
That He did not answer then.
He now shows you the danger
Of going your own way
All those roads you thought were better
Would have led your soul astray.

He reminds you of that moment
When you could not make it through.
Now you see one set of footprints
Where He reached down and carried you.
As your tears fall on His shoulder,
And you thank Him for His love,
He says, "Child, I knew that one day,
You'd see this valley from above."

Things look different on the mountain
From the Shepherd's point of view
Standing high above the trial
That He brought you safely through.
All the valley's disappointments
Will never look the same to you
For things look different on the mountain
From the Shepherd's point of view.

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

Buddy Mullins and Mark Willett

Tired, frustrated and feeling down
The end of the day has you wearing a frown
Your troubles have doubled and friend, what can you do?
Here's a little advice, pound for pound
It's guaranteed to bring you around
From an old sob story to a brand new point of view

Count your blessings when you’re feeling blue,
It’s surprising what a little bit of counting will do,
Count ‘em when ever thing goes wrong,
Soon you’ll find yourself singing a song,
Count ‘em whether they be big or small,
You just might have trouble counting them all,
Your problems will simply fade from view
If you’ll just start counting your blessings.

Some people today, they drive me insane
All they want to do is fuss and complain
About who, what, when, where, how they've been done wrong
For so long
Find less time for worry, more time for prayer
You'll have a lot less stress and a lot more hair
When you find you're done counting,
You'll be shouting 'cause you're back on your feet.

Count your blessings when you’re feeling blue,
It’s surprising what a little bit of counting will do,
Count ‘em when ever thing goes wrong,
Soon you’ll find yourself singing a song,
Count ‘em whether they be big or small,
You just might have trouble counting them all,
Your problems will simply fade from view
If you’ll just start counting your blessings.

PRESS ON

Katie Knopp

Remember Paul and Silas,
Bound in stocks and chains
Yet they sang a song of joy
In the midst of their pain
There was Daniel in the lion's den
The Hebrews in the fire
They all stood strong and suffered long
They trusted in God's power

It's in the midnight hour
When you're hanging by a thread
And you've cried all your tears
In all the prayers you've said
That's when Jesus comes a runnin'
And He takes you by the hand
Just hold on you can make it
Press on; morning's coming,
Press on.

Now if your heart's been broken
Like a shattered piece of glass
And you wonder if the pain you feel
Is ever gonna pass
And when the darkness surrounds you
It might seem to have no end
Just keep holding on; it won't be long
And you'll see the sun again.

It's in the midnight hour
When you're hanging by a thread
And you've cried all your tears
In all the prayers you've said
That's when Jesus comes a runnin'
And He takes you by the hand
Just hold on you can make it
Press on; morning's coming,
Press on.

(Special thanks to Felycia for sending me this great song!)
