IT'S STILL THE CROSS

Niles Borop, Buddy Mullins,
Mike Harland, & Luke Garrett

It's not conservative or liberal,
However they're defined,
It's not about interpretation,
Or the judgment of the mind;
It's the opposite of politics,
Power or prestige,
It's about a simple message
And whether we believe.

It's still the cross
It's still the blood of Calvary
That cleanses sin
And sets the captive free;
It's still the name,
The name of Jesus
That has power to save the lost
It's still the cross.

We can water down theology
And preach a word to suit our needs,
We can justify sweet subtle lies
That are wrapped in noble deeds;
We can alter our convictions
To adapt to social wills,
But we cannot change the gospel
Or the truth contained within.

It's still the cross
It's still the blood of Calvary
That cleanses sin
And sets the captive free;
It's still the name,
The name of Jesus
That has power to save the lost
It's still the cross.

Though some may says it's man's religion
Or ancient history
The cross of Jesus still remains the price for sin
That sets us free

It's still the cross
It's still the blood of Calvary
That cleanses sin
And sets the captive free;
It's still the name,
The name of Jesus
That has power to save the lost
It's still the cross.

HIS STRENGTH IS PERFECT

Steven Curtis Chapman; Jr. Salley

I can do all things
Through Christ who gives me strength,
But sometimes I wonder what He can do through me;
No great success to show, No glory on my own,
Yet in my weakness He is there to let me know . . .

His strength is perfect when our strength is gone;
He’ll carry us when we can’t carry on.
Raised in His power, the weak become strong;
His strength is perfect, His strength is perfect.

We can only know
The power that He holds
When we truly see how deep our weakness goes;
His strength in us begins
Where ours comes to an end.
He hears our humble cry and proves again . . .

His strength is perfect when our strength is gone;
He’ll carry us when we can’t carry on.
Raised in His power, the weak become strong;
His strength is perfect, His strength is perfect.

BEAUTIFUL THINGS

Michael & Lisa Gungor

All this pain
I wonder if I’ll ever find my way
I wonder if my life could really change at all

All this earth
Could all that is lost ever be found
Could a garden come up from this ground at all

You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us

All around
Hope is springing up from this old ground
Out of chaos life is being found in You

You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us

THE SOURCE OF MY SONG

Rodney Griffin

Oh, the source of my song is the Savior
The reason for my singing is the Man from Galilee
It does not depend upon my circumstances
For Jesus is the source of my song

Life is a song worth singing
Though it can be a hard melody
But, if we keep our eyes on Jesus
He will turn the pain into perfect harmony

Oh, the source of my song is the Savior
The reason for my singing is the Man from Galilee
It does not depend upon my circumstances
For Jesus is the source of my song

If we only sing when we're happy
We will not be singing very long
But, if we're singing while the battle's raging
The world will know that Jesus is the source of our song.

Oh, the source of my song is the Savior
The reason for my singing is the Man from Galilee
It does not depend upon my circumstances
For Jesus is the source of my song

IN THE SAVIOR'S HAND

Tracy Jones & Ricky Atkinson

Today I face a mountain, oh so high
And I do not know what’s waiting on the other side
But I know enough to know - He’ll see me through again
I’m glad to know, it’s in the Savior’s hand

There will be grace, grace to make it through this trial
There will be strength, strength to walk another mile
There will be hope when I’ve done all I can
I’m glad to know it’s in the Savior’s hand

Those hands have seen me through my darkest days
They have dried my tears and helped to guide me on my way
So I know He’ll safely see me through the fire again
I’m glad to know it’s in the Savior’s hands

There will be grace, grace to make it through this trial
There will be strength, strength to walk another mile
There will be hope when I’ve done all I can
I’m glad to know it’s in the Savior’s hand

Those hands that hold the universe
Will hold me now
And the hands that calm the stormy sea
Will calm my storm somehow

There will be grace, grace to make it through this trial
There will be strength, strength to walk another mile
There will be hope when I’ve done all I can
I’m glad to know it’s in the Savior’s hand

FOREVER AND EVER I DO

Today's post is dedicated to my precious husband of 14 years. Happy anniversary, Jason!

Becky Matthews

I always dreamed I'd have someone like you
Who would love me just the way you do
And this feeling that we share
I know God has placed there
Because I know our love is true

So till death do we part,
I'll give you my heart
And as long as I have breath, I will whisper
That as long as there is you,
I'll be faithful and true
Forever and ever I do

If I could love you a hundred years and more
This feeling would be stronger than before
Because each day that we go
Our love seems to grow
And what a joy it is to know

So till death do we part,
I'll give you my heart
And as long as I have breath, I will whisper
That as long as there is you,
I'll be faithful and true
Forever and ever I do

LEAD ME

Matthew Hammitt, Jason Ingram, Christopher James Rohman

I look around and see my wonderful life
Almost perfect from the outside
In picture frames, I see my beautiful wife
Always smiling, but on the inside
Oh, I can hear her saying. . .

"Lead me with strong hands
Stand up when I can't
Don't leave me hungry for love
Chasing dreams, but what about us?
Show me you're willing to fight
That I'm still the love of your life
I know we call this our home
But I still feel alone."

I see their faces, look in their innocent eyes
They're just children from the outside
I'm working hard, I tell myself they'll be fine
They're independent, but on the inside
Oh, I can hear them saying. . .

"Lead me with strong hands
Stand up when I can't
Don't leave me hungry for love
Chasing dreams, what about us?
Show me you're willing to fight
That I'm still the love of your life
I know we call this our home
But I still feel alone"

So Father, give me the strength
To be everything I'm called to be
Oh Father, show me the way
To lead them

Won't You lead me?

To lead them with strong hands
To stand up when they can't
Don't want to leave them hungry for love
Chasing things that I could give up
I'll show them I'm willing to fight
And give them the best of my life
So we can call this our home
Lead me 'cause I can't do this alone

Father, lead me 'cause I can't do this alone

WHEN GOD IS ALL YOU HAVE

Author Unknown

Have you lost your health
And your wealth has faded away
Alone and forsaken, you have lost your way
Cry out for mercy, go to your knees in prayer
I know you'll find God is always there

When God is all you have
You'll find He is all you need
You may not understand
But you're right where you should be
Alone with God in the presence of grace
Whatever you've lost, He will replace
When God is all you have
You'll find He is all you need

You'll find in these moments
The strength to make it through
Whatever you're facing, God will be with you
In the midst of the storm, He is peace to your soul
Be still and you'll find you are never alone

When God is all you have
You'll find He is all you need
You may not understand
But you're right where you should be
Alone with God in the presence of grace
Whatever you've lost, He will replace
When God is all you have
You'll find He is all you need

EYES OF HEAVEN

Jim Brady, Tony Wood, and Barry Weeks

You feel forgotten like no one cares anymore
You’re all alone working hard, faithful to the Lord
But you’re starting to grow weary so I’m here to say, "Take heart,
God sees where you’re serving. He knows who you are."

The eyes of heaven move through the world today
That our God may give strength to hearts of faith
They never miss a moment, so stay faithful and true
For the eyes of heaven see you

We all have seasons when it seems we’ve labored long
And we start to feel like our souls begin to lose their song
But let your heart take comfort and courage from His Word
Hope has a revival when we trust the truth we’ve heard.

The eyes of heaven move through the world today
That our God may give strength to hearts of faith
They never miss a moment, so stay faithful and true
For the eyes of heaven see you

Keep on serving boldly for you are in His sight
Keep teaching the Word, keep telling the lost, being salt and light.

The eyes of heaven move through the world today
That our God may give strength to hearts of faith
They never miss a moment, so stay faithful and true
For the eyes of heaven see you.

IN HIS GRIP

Author Unknown

In His grip of grace I rest,
Trusting not my righteousness,
He has earned my heart's request,
So, in His grip of grace I rest.

I stood separated from the King,
With nothing in my hands,
The bridge that led up to His throne,
Had been broken by my sins,
Before I even asked,
His mercy was extended,
Because of Calvary's sacrifice,
The broken bridge was mended.

In His grip of grace I rest,
Trusting not my righteousness,
He has earned my heart's request,
So, in His grip of grace I rest.

Our nation mourns the losses,
Of many blameless lives,
Prophecies fulfilling,
Before our very eyes,
This is not the time to be afraid,
Trust God to win this fight
He's holding us safe in his hand,
Redemption drawing nigh.

In His grip of grace I rest,
Trusting not my righteousness,
He has earned my heart's request,
In His grip of grace I rest.

Undeserving of his favor,
Yet in His favor live,
Shackled by my sin and shame,
Yet freedom Jesus gives,
Blinded by this world's delights,
But now I plainly see,
Lacking strength to hold to Him,
He is holding me.

In His grip of grace I rest,
Trusting not my righteousness,
He has earned my heart's request,
In His grip of grace I rest.
