HE PILOTS MY SHIP

Ronnie Hinson

A soul of a man
Is like a ship
That sails on the sea of time
Storms may come
And winds may blow
And rock this ship of mine
But the reason my ship
Has never sank
And the day is still aglow
My compass is
God’s precious Word
And Jesus pilots my boat.

I won’t sail the stormy sea no more
Unless Jesus leads the way
I won’t ever drift too far from the shore
I can’t hear what He has to say
I belong to a fleet that sails today
On a glorious one-way trip
I’ll land safely ashore to sail no more
For Jesus pilots my ship

My ship pulled into safety's port
My stern was torn apart
The bow of my vessel
Was so badly crushed
Sin waters had flooded my heart
I’d sailed for so long on life’s angry waves
With my cargo of fear and despair
But I called on His name
And He lifted the blame
And now He pilots my ship everywhere

I won’t sail the stormy sea no more
Unless Jesus leads the way
I won’t ever drift too far from the shore
I can’t hear what He has to say
I belong to a fleet that sails today
On a glorious one-way trip
I’ll land safely ashore to sail no more
For Jesus pilots my ship

REAL FAITH

Marty Funderburk and Tony Wood

Not some tragic struggle
Not some endless search
Just the story of some kids growing up in church
We took in every moment
With open eyes and ears
And one day took to heart
What we saw in those years
And we saw....

Real people with real struggles
Real lives bruised in real ways
And there was real joy
And real hope
And through it all we found real faith

We count it as a blessing to know such strength and peace
Oh, not that they were perfect,
But they lived with honesty
And the evidence we witnessed daily in each life
Helped pave the way for us to embrace the love of Christ
And we knew...

Real people with real struggles
Real lives bruised in real ways
And there was real joy
And real hope
And through it all we found real faith

Remind us, oh Father
That around us every day
The innocent eyes are watching
May they see our lives and say
I see....

Real people with real struggles
Real lives bruised in real ways
And there was real joy
And real hope
And through it all we found real faith

PRAYER IS THE SOUL'S SINCERE DESIRE

James Montgomery

Prayer is the soul's sincere desire,
Unuttered or expressed;
The motion of a hidden fire
That trembles in the breast.

Prayer is the burden of a sigh,
The falling of a tear
The upward glancing of an eye,
When none but God is near.

Prayer is the Christian's vital breath,
The Christian's native air,
His watchword at the gates of death;
He enters heaven with prayer.

O Thou, by Whom we come to God,
The Life, the Truth, the Way;
The path of prayer Thyself hast trod:
Lord, teach us how to pray!

Prayer is the contrite sinner's voice,
Returning from his ways,
While angels in their songs rejoice
And cry, "Behold, he prays!"

The saints in prayer appear as one
In word, in deed, and mind,
While with the Father and the Son
Sweet fellowship they find.

No prayer is made by man alone
The Holy Spirit pleads,
And Jesus, on th'eternal throne,
For sinners intercedes.

O Thou by Whom we come to God,
The Life, the Truth, the Way,
The path of prayer Thyself hast trod:
Lord, teach us how to pray.

PRAYER IS THE KEY TO HEAVEN

Samuel Scott & Robert Sands

Prayer is the key to Heaven
But faith unlocks the door
Words are so easily spoken
Prayer without faith is
Like a boat without an oar
Have faith when you speak
To the Master
That's all He'll ask you for
Prayer is the key to Heaven
But faith unlocks the door

DAYS OF ELIJAH

Robin Mark

These are the days of Elijah
Declaring the Word of the Lord, yes
And these are the days of his servant, Moses
Righteousness being restored
And these are the days of great trial
Of famine and darkness and sword
So we are the voice in the desert crying
Prepare ye the way of the Lord

Behold He comes
Riding on a cloud
Shining like the sun
At the trumpet's call
Lift your voice
It's the year of jubilee
Out of Zion's hill salvation comes

And these are the days of Ezekiel
With dry bones becoming as flesh
And these are the days of his servant, David
Building the temple of praise, yes
And these are the days of the harvest
The fields are all white in the world
And we are the laborers that are in your vineyard
Declaring the word of the Lord

Behold He comes
Riding on a cloud
Shining like the sun
At the trumpet's call
Lift your voice
It's the year of jubilee
Out of Zion's hill salvation comes

There's no God like Jehovah
There's no God like Jehovah
There's no God like Jehovah

Behold He comes
Riding on a cloud
Shining like the sun
At the trumpet's call
Lift your voice
It's the year of jubilee
Out of Zion's hill salvation comes

NEW WINE

Author Unknown

It's that new, new wine
The kind that makes you smile all the time
I heard about it just a little while ago
Ever since I did,
I just can't let this happy feeling go
New, new wine
The kind that makes you smile all the time
Pardon my funny grin,
I'm just a new wineskin holding new, new wine

Now it's not from moonshine
But it comes from sunshine
Straight from Heaven above
It won't make you lazy
Or make your mind crazy
Or make you cry over some
Long gone lost love

New, new wine
The kind that makes you smile all the time
I heard about it just a little while ago
Ever since I did,
I just can't let this happy feeling go
New, new wine
The kind that makes you smile all the time
Pardon my funny grin,
I'm just a new wineskin holding new, new wine

Now, money can't buy it
But once you try it
You'll have a lifetime supply
The Savior will give it
Through His Holy Spirit
Joy like a river
Makes you feel so fine

It's that new, new wine
The kind that makes you smile all the time
I heard about it just a little while ago
Ever since I did,
I just can't let this happy feeling go
New, new wine
The kind that makes you smile all the time
Pardon my funny grin,
I'm just a new wineskin holding new, new wine

HE SAW WHAT I COULD BE

Dan Dean

A loser without direction,
I drifted aimlessly
On the backside of a place called 'Nowhere'
Forgotten by humanity,
When they talked about potential,
They did not refer to me
'Cause everyone could clearly see,
What I am I'd always be.

But He saw not what I was,
He saw what I could be;
When He reached His hand to where I was,
He made a change in me.
For all He had to hope for
Was just a possibility;
Still He saw not what I was,
He saw what I could be.

So now you know the reason
I lift my hands so willingly;
If He hadn't found me when He did,
I'd still be lost as lost could be.
And although I'm far from perfect,
I'm even farther still you see
From the life I lived just yesterday
Before the LORD found me.

But He saw not what I was,
He saw what I could be;
When He reached His hand to where I was,
He made a change in me.
For all He had to hope for
Was just a possibility;
Still He saw not what I was,
He saw what I could be.
